Dog Gift Basket

Dog Gift Baskets

When I first heard about dog gift baskets, I was pretty irritated. It was my friend Amy who told me about it. Amy is a dear, and we have been good friends for many years, but in some ways she is one of the most annoying people on this planet. She loves anything cutesy, fluffy, frilly, or adorable. We are as different as night and day. When I asked her for suggestions for her birthday present, she told me to get a dog gift basket. When I looked incredulous, she patiently explained to me that she celebrated her dog's birthday on the same day as her own. Getting a gift basket for dogs was the perfect way to make her happy by helping her celebrate the special day of her adorable little pet.

Needless to say, the concept of dog gift baskets was not particularly appealing to me because I was initially thinking along the lines of a Dog Walker certificate, Dog Breed coffee cup, or an automatic dog feeder. I understood that dog lover gift baskets were as much for the person as for the dog, but even so it seemed like a poor way to express my friendship for Amy. I knew that was what she wanted, but I wanted to get her something specifically tailored for her interests, not the interests of her dog. All dogs are basically alike. They all love squeaky toys, dog treats, ratty towels that they can play tug-of-war with, and sticks that they can catch, as well is anything smelly. One generic dog gift basket will do equally well for any dog that there is. It just seemed like a bad present to get.

Nonetheless, I decided to go and look at some dog gift baskets, if no other reason than to humor Amy's wishes. I knew that getting a dog gift basket would please Amy, and after all that seemed like the point of a birthday present. After browsing the store for a little while, I finally found the perfect dog present, and I was on my way. When she unwrapped the gift for her puppy on her birthday, the pooch was overjoyed, especially when the puppy smelled the scented poop bags. Apparently, she had been having people buy dog gift baskets for a good while. I have never seen such a happy puppy, and I couldn't help but enjoy it myself. All in all, it was an enjoyable birthday party, and it was nice to be able to make my friend happy, even if I had to please her dog to do so.
